Capabilities of the Center for provision of social services of Skala-Podilska urban -type village Council (Ternopil region) were significantly strengthened due to the Project, being implemented by USIF
As part of implementation of one of the micro-projects within ‘Community-based social services delivery’ Project, furniture and equipment for the offices of a psychologist, social pedagogue and employees of the Skala-Podilska Village Council's Center for Social Services Delivery, which was recently moved to a renovated building of the Village Administrative Services Center (ASC), were purchased and delivered.
The mentioned Center with a staff of 12 employees was established in October 2020 in the course of the relevant micro-project implementation. In 2021-2022, 4 additional positions of social work specialists and 1 position of psychologist were included in the staff list of the Center. Currently, the Center has a staff of 17 employees, which makes it possible to provide new social services for a larger number of vulnerable groups of the local community.
111 persons in need of "home care" services and 140 families/persons from among vulnerable groups, including those who find themselves in difficult life circumstances, are already covered by the Center's social services. The Center also provides basic social services, namely: information, counseling, social support, social prevention, representation of interests, emergency (crisis) intervention, in-kind assistance, social adaptation.
From now on, the Social Services Delivery Center together with the Administrative Services Center, being currently located in one building, will be able to provide community residents with integrated social services aimed at comprehensive and prompt resolution of individual/family problems and providing state social support and services.
All employees of the Center also took part in trainings and improved their professional skills by participating in trainings and other educational activities, conducted in the framework of the Project.
Implementation of the tasks and measures envisaged by the Project and aimed at strengthening the capacity of specialists of Skala-Podilska village community in organization and provision of quality social services to its residents, continues.
