Objective: establishment of centers of excellence in vocational education and training (CoE) by means of rehabilitating and equipping existing vocational education and training schools and implementing a practice-oriented and labor market-oriented vocational education and training (VET) concept.

The current Project status:

CoEs are envisaged to be established within the Project on the basis of two VET institutions: Kvasyliv professional lyceum, urban type village Kvasyliv (Rivne region) and Higher Vocational School №41, Tulchyn town (Vinnytsia region).

The relevant Cooperation Memorandums are concluded by USIF with Kvasyliv professional lyceum, Rivne regional state administration - Rivne regional military administration and Rivne city Council as well as Tulchyn Higher Vocational School № 41 and Vinnytsia regional state administration - Vinnytsia regional military administration.

A tender was held for the procurement of DED development services for dormitories and workshops at Kvasyliv Vocational Lyceum and Tulchyn Higher Vocational School No. 41. Contracts for the DED development were signed. The DED for dormitories were developed.

The contract with the international consultant, German company ‘Internationale Projekt Consult GmbH’ (IPC) was signed. In the framework of that contract, the team, formed by international consultant, was actively involved in the implementation of the Project. Several visits were made to the institutions in Kvasyliv and Tulchyn, the plan of further actions for the Project implementation was prepared, the procurement plan was updated, the needs of Tulchyn VET school in equipment were assessed and the list of equipment to be procured for the institution was compiled in particular.   In addition to that the concepts of Excellence for higher vocational school No. 41 in Tulchyn and Kvasyliv Vocational Lyceum were elaborated and signed by the interested parties and plans for implementation of the conceptions in the year 2025 were compiled.

Public consultations on implementation of subprojects on the establishment of the centers of excellence were held by USIF. Participants had an opportunity to ask questions and receive competent answers.

USIF invites stakeholders to express their proposals on the Stakeholder Engagement Plan for VETinEP Project, Environmental and Social Screening, Impact Assessment and Management Plan, as well as Stakeholder Engagement Plans for each subproject and Asbestos Removal Plan of Work for both VET schools' buildings, which are the basis for management of identified environmental and social risks, management of asbestos dismantling process, as well as planning and implementation of activities on stakeholders engagement.
