‘Promotion of Social Infrastructure Development. USIF.IX’ Project
 
Objective: creation of additional accommodation capacities for internally displaced persons (IDPs), improvement of the conditions of stay of IDPs in places of their temporary compact accommodation

As of March 2025, 4 out of 8 initially selected objects (subprojects/SPs) remained in the Project renovation (implementation) list, namely, the objects located in the village of Slobozhanske and in the cities of Kryvyi Rih (2) and Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk region.
As part of preparations for the reconstruction of the three facilities mentioned first above, measures were being taken for tender selection (preparations for tender selection) of contractors of construction works execution. The development of design and cost estimate documentation the facility located in Pavlohrad was ongoing.
Based on the elaborated, endorsed by KfW and approved Project Environmental and Social Management Framework and with consideration of other relevant Project requirements, environmental and social management plans, stakeholder engagement plans and grievance redress mechanisms are developed for all aforementioned SPs. Apart from that, taking into account detection of asbestos-containing materials at the facility in the village of Slobozhanske, the action plan for the removal of those materials from the object was elaborated. 
In the first quarter of 2025, 4 new SPs were pre-selected and accepted by the donor for implementation. These are the dormitories of
Higher Vocational School No. 8 of the town of Stryy (Lviv region);
Stryy Higher Vocational Art School (Lviv region);
Shepetivka Vocational College of Podolsk State University (Khmelnytsky region); 
Bukovinian State Medical University (Chernivtsi, Chernivtsi region),
which are currently used as places of temporary compact residence of IDPs and belong to the Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
After obtaining the owners' consent with renovation of these dormitories, it is expected that memorandums of understanding will be signed with stakeholders and tenders to select providers of the development of design and cost estimate documentation services will be conducted.
One more object, - the dormitory of the National Aerospace University (Kharkiv region) was pre-selected as a reserve SP. At the end of March 2025, preparations were underway to select a contractor to perform a technical inspection and an engineering survey at the facility.
