Objective: establishment of centers of excellence in vocational education and training (CoE) by means of rehabilitating and equipping existing vocational education and training schools and implementing a practice-oriented and labor market-oriented vocational education and training (VET) concept.
The current Project status:
The Project envisages the creation of CoEs based on two vocational schools: State Educational Institution "Lviv Interregional Higher Vocational School of Railway Transport", Lviv (Lviv region) and State Vocational and Technical Educational Institution "Chernivtsi Professional Machine-Building Lyceum", Chernivtsi (Chernivtsi region).
In close cooperation with the team of international consultant, a consortium of companies led by management4health AG, a number of measures were taken to clarify the work plan for the implementation of the Project, involve stakeholders, and develop analytical materials necessary for the transformation of two vocational education institutions involved in the Project into centers of professional excellence (CoEs).
The development of design and cost estimate documentation (DED) for execution of repair works in the dormitories of vocational institutions is approaching completion (expertise is ongoing). Contracts have been concluded for DED development of further execution of construction works in educational buildings and workshops of partner institutions.
The approval of the Report on the assessment of the management and academic needs of the institutions, provided for in the terms of reference of the international consultant, is underway. It is assumed that the Report on the assessment of the management and academic needs will become the basis for the development, conclusion and further implementation of the concepts for the transformation of partner institutions into centers of professional excellence.
