Objective: establishment of centers of excellence in vocational education and training (CoE) by means of rehabilitating and equipping existing vocational education and training schools and implementing a practice-oriented and labor market-oriented vocational education and training (VET) concept.
The current Project status:
The Project envisages the creation of a Centers of Professional Excellence on the basis of two VETs: State Educational Institution "Lviv Interregional Higher Vocational School of Railway Transport", Lviv (Lviv region) and State Vocational and Technical Educational Institution "Chernivtsi Professional Machine-Building Lyceum", Chernivtsi (Chernivtsi region).
The Ukrainian Fund for Social Investment (hereinafter - USIF) signed a Separate Agreement with KfW, i.e., the prerequisite for the formal launch of the Project has been fulfilled and registered the project at the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, registration number 5814.
In addition, USIF, in cooperation with KfW, developed tender documentation for the selection of an international implementation consultant for the implementation of the Project and Appendix 9 to the Regulations (Guidelines) of USIF activities, the provisions of which will additionally regulate the implementation of the Project "Vocational Education in the Eastern Partnership II". The tender for the selection of an international consultant is currently ongoing.
A Financial Agreement was also signed between the USIF and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, which defines the terms and procedures for the Ministry, as the recipient of the Grant provided by the Credit Institution for Reconstruction for the implementation of the Project, to the USIF, as the implementing organization of the Project.
Memorandums of Cooperation between the USIF, VET institutions and local government bodies of Lviv and Chernivtsi regions are signed.
