A large-scale training program for doctors and health care managers has been launched
A large-scale training program for heads and staff of medical institutions, which participate in the ‘Promotion of Social Infrastructure Development. Improvement of rural basic health. USIF VII’ Project and representatives of health care divisions of partner communities and regional administrations has been launched.
The first training within this program, was held on 16th -19th of March 2023 and focused on heads of primary health care institutions, participating in USIF VII Project.
Andriy Laktionov, USIF Executive Director addressed participants with welcome speech. He noted, in particular, that strong team of coaches and carefully selected training topics will help participants to find answers to a number of questions and contribute to solution of numerous serious problems, which heads of medical institutions are faced in current difficult situation.
Andriy Laktionov also expressed confidence that participation in this event and informal exchange of experience with colleagues, would give an impetus for further professional growth and comprehensive development of partner medical institutions.
22 heads of medical institutions from Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions were developing their organizational and management skills in an interactive format for four days.
Such high qualified experts as Mrs Zoryana Skaletska, doctor of legal sciences, docent of the School of Public Health of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and former Minister of Health of Ukraine, Mrs Tetyana Yurochko, PhD in Public Administration, docent, head of the School of Public Health of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, Mr Valeriy Ilchuk, consultant of Psychological Assistance Program, psychotherapist of the Center for Mental Health and Psychological Support of the of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy etc. were involved in the training as coaches.
Two more trainings for heads of medical institutions (face-to-face and online) will be held till the end of April. The total duration of the trainings is 12 days. Participants will also have an opportunity to use mentoring support for improvement of functioning of their institutions.
Trainings for representatives of the health care divisions of partner communities and regional departments will be conducted in May – June. Family doctors and registrars from partner institutions, participating in the USIF VII Project, will be trained in July – August 2023.
