The first memoranda of cooperation within the UFSI VIII Project were signed
On August 3, a solemn signing of memoranda of cooperation within the framework of the USIF VIII Project took place in Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration.
The event was attended by First Deputy Head of the Regional State Administration Volodymyr Shustov, Deputy Head of the Regional Council Vladyslav Kutsenko, Melitopol Mayor Ivan Fedorov, Huliaipole Mayor Serhiy Yarmak and Director of the South-Eastern Regional Office of the Ukrainian Social Investment Fund Vasyl Burtnyk.
Funds provided by the German Government through the German Development Bank KfW will be used to repair two medical facilities in the cities of Huliaipole and Melitopol, namely the Huliaipole PHCC and the Multidisciplinary Hospital for Intensive Care and Ambulance of the Melitopol City Council. With the concluded agreements, it is planned to provide financing for energy-efficient renovation of premises and to supply medical equipment to the above-mentioned medical institutions.
By signing memoranda and receiving funds, more than 60,000 citizens will be able to access improved health care services, including Covid-19 treatment.
As mentioned above, the memoranda were signed under the Social Infrastructure Promotion Project – USIF VIII, which aims to upgrade and improve the capacity of health facilities to react to the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. It is expected that a total of 13 primary and secondary care facilities will be funded in Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia regions and government-controlled districts of Luhansk and Donetsk regions.
In addition to improved conditions for providing medical services in Huliaipole PHCC and multidisciplinary hospital of intensive care and emergency medical care in Melitopol, positive changes will also take place in the outpatient clinic PHCC Slobozhanske, Kryvyi Rih City Hospital, 9, Kryvyi Rih and Infectious Diseases № 6 PHCC № 3 Mariupol (all - Dnipropetrovsk region), Dobropillia intensive care hospital, outpatient clinics № 3 and № 4 PHCC Druzhkivka (all - Donetsk region), outpatient clinics № 2 Severodonetsk and PHCC of Rubizhne, Svatove Multidisciplinary Hospital, Starobilsk Multidisciplinary Hospital (all - Luhansk region) and Central City Hospital of Izyum (Kharkiv region).
