Modernization of two more outpatient clinics was completed on the New Year eve
Due to ‘Promotion of Social Infrastructure Development. Improvement of rural basic health. USIF.VII’ Project, two more clinics began to provide services in a more comfortable, cozy and modern environment.
On December 22 in urban type village of Bezludivka (Kharkiv region) the opening ceremony of the outpatient clinic of general practice of family medicine (OCGP) of the Primary Health Care Center (PHCC) № 3 of Kharkiv district was held and on December 23 in Mariupol (Donetsk region) OCGP № 3 of PHCC № 4 was solemnly opened in Mariupol (Donetsk region).
Under USIF VII Project, funded by the grant of the German Government, provided through KfW, both ambulatories were overhauled, thermally modernized and provided with medical equipment and means of personal protection for their medical staff.
Facades were insulated, the roof was overhauled, paving was arranged, metal entrance doors were installed and insulated, a new drainage system was laid, porches and attics were repaired in Bezludivka OCGP, in particular. In addition to that, interior works, including doors, floors and plumbing equipment replacement as well as walls decoration, were performed.
In order to improve the quality of medical services and diagnostics, an automatic hematology analyzer, a 12-channel cardiograph, two pulse oximeters, various rapid tests for operative diagnosis, and personal protective equipment were procured and delivered to that outpatient clinic.
The total construction cost is UAH 4.9 million. The cost of procured medical equipment, rapid tests and personal protective equipment - UAH 586,000.
The community financed from its own budget landscaping of the adjacent area after the construction works completion and purchase of new furniture.
Thanks to the fruitful cooperation of all stakeholders, 7,000 Bezludivka urban type village residents will be provided with medical services in modern and comfortable ambulatory.
In outpatient clinic № 3 of Mariupol PHCC № 4, the roof was repaired, the facade, slopes, ventilation ducts and plinth were insulated with the use of the German government grant funds.
To improve medical services in that OCGP, a 12-channel cardiograph, a patient monitor, two medical needle disposers, 2 Ambu bags, 7 digital stethoscopes, 7 spirometers, 7 glucometers, 15 tonometers, 15 infrared thermometers and personal protective equipment for medical staff were purchased and supplied.
The total construction cost is UAH 3.845 million. The cost of procured medical equipment, rapid tests and personal protective equipment - UAH 296,000.
The local community also contributed to the improvement of medical services in that outpatient clinic through financing of internal repairs, landscaping and purchase of furniture.
More than 19,000 Mariupol residents can use the services of the renovated outpatient clinic.
Facilities of 12 primary health care institutions will be reconstructed in Donetsk (6 facilities) and Kharkiv (6 facilities) regions within USIF VII Project. The other 28 institutions, participating in the Project, are located in Dnipropetrovsk, Luhansk and Zaporizhzhia regions.
Residents of Donetsk and Kharkiv regions were pleased to be informed, that some other medical institutions of their regions, namely: Dobropillia intensive care hospital, outpatient clinics № 5 and № 6 of Mariupol PHCC № 3, outpatient clinics №3 and №4 of Druzhkivka PHCC (Donetsk region) as well as Central Town Hospital of Izyum (Kharkiv region) had been selected for participation in another Project, funded by the German Government, - "Promotion of Social Infrastructure Development (USIF VIII)" Project.
