Two Pokrov outpatient clinics resumed a full-fledged operation after their modernization
The solemn re-opening of two outpatient clinics in the town of Pokrov (Dnipropetrovsk region), modernized for the grant funds of German Government, was held on the 5th of December 2022 and attended by the town mayor Mr. Oleksandr SHAPOVAL, Director of the First USIF Regional Office Mr. Artur BRODZINSKYI, representatives of local self-government bodies, local public organizations and interested local residents.
Premises with a total area of 523.7 square meters were renovated by performing the following basic works: replacement of doors, water supply network, drainage system, heating system, lighting and electrical equipment, ventilation system, execution of fit-out works and installation of plumbing, to renovate outpatient clinic No. 4 of the Primary Health Care Center (PHCC) of Pokrov Town Council.
The total cost of construction works and related expenses was about UAH 7.9 million.
In addition to that, in order to improve medical services provision, an automatic hematology analyzer, a patient monitor, a 12-channel cardiograph, tonometers, glucometers, pulse oximeters, infrared thermometers, various rapid tests and personal protective equipment were purchased for the institution.
The city budget financed the purchase of medical and office furniture as well as the repair of the building's facade, replacement of rainwater drainage pipes, repair of the facade's masonry and replacement of the external heat supply network.
The renovated outpatient clinic employs 9 doctors and 20 nurses, who will receive patients in spacious offices with modern equipment.
In the course of renovation of the premises of outpatient clinic No. 5 of the Pokrov Town Council PHCC with a total area of 579 square meters, windows and doors were replaced with metal-plastic ones, water supply and drainage networks, heating system, lighting and electrical equipment were replaced, internal premises were overhauled, plumbing was installed, ventilation system was repaired, external walls of the building were insulated and an entrance group and a ramp were arranged.
The total cost of construction works and related expenses was about UAH 10.6 million.
An automatic hematology analyzer, a medical needle disposer, Ambu bags, digital stethoscopes, tonometers, glucometers, pulse oximeters, infrared thermometers, various rapid tests and personal protective equipment were also purchased for the institution.
The purchase of medical and office furniture, landscaping and installation of galvanized covers on the parapet roof were financed from the town budget.
From now on, 5 doctors and 9 nurses working in the outpatient clinic will be able to provide services to patients in comfortable conditions.
Modernization of both ambulatories was carried out in the framework "Promotion of Social Infrastructure Development. Improvement of rural basic health. USIF VII" Project, which is financed by the German Government through the German Development Bank (KfW) and implemented by the Ukrainian Social Investment Fund.
