Modernization of two more ambulatories has been completed in Dnipropetrovsk region
Two outpatient clinics: No. 8 in the town of Pavlograd and No. 2 in the town of Pershotravensk (both Dnipropetrovsk region), modernized at the expense of the German Government, were solemnly opened on June 26, 2023.
Pavlograd town Mayor Anatoliy Vershyna, Pershotravensk town Mayor Oksana Vinnytska, USIF Deputy Executive Director Ksenia Pidnebesna and Director of the First USIF Regional Office Artur Brodzinskyi attended the festivities.
In order to modernize of outpatient clinic No. 8 of Pavlograd Primary Health Care Center (PHCC) an overhaul of the premises with a total area of 353 m² was carried out: the facade, the basement were insulated, the porch was arranged, windows and doors were replaced, the water supply and drainage networks, the heating system, lighting and electrical equipment were remastered, internal fit-out works were performed and plumbing was installed. The total cost of construction works and related costs amounted to UAH 11 ,883.0 thousand.
Apart from that, in order to improve medical services provision, the institution was provided with a digital stethoscope, a patient monitor, an automatic hematology analyzer, a semi-automatic biochemical analyzer, a 12-channel cardiograph, a TC-Spinplus-8 centrifuge, tonometers, pulse oximeters, various rapid tests and personal protective equipment worth UAH 831.0 thousand.
The renovated outpatient clinic serves more than 15,000 residents and employs 9 doctors and 30 persons of medical staff, who will now receive patients in comfortable conditions and using modern equipment.
As part of modernization of outpatient clinic No. 2 of Pershotravensk Municipal Primary Health Care Center, premises with a total area of 426 m² were renovated: windows and doors, water supply networks, drainage, heating systems, lighting and electrical equipment, ventilation systems were replaced, internal fit-out works were performed and plumbing was installed. The total cost of construction works and related costs amounted to UAH 9, 314.6 thousand.
An automatic hematology analyzer, a semi-automatic biochemical analyzer, a coagulometer, a TS-Spinplus-8 centrifuge, pulse oximeters, infrared thermometers, various rapid tests and personal protective equipment for an overall amount of UAH 791.4 thousand were purchased for the institution.
The modernized clinic serves almost 10,000 residents and employs 6 doctors and 18 medical staff persons. Now its patients have the opportunity to be served in modern and comfortable environment.
Currently, a large-scale training program is being conducted for doctors, heads of medical facilities, and officials responsible for managing the health care sector in the Project's partner communities.
All the mentioned measures were and are being undertaken within the framework of ‘Promotion of Social Infrastructure Development. Improvement of rural basic health. USIF.VII’ Project, which is financed by the German Government through the German Development Bank (KfW) and implemented by the Ukrainian Social Investment Fund.
14 primary medical institutions in total will be renovated in Dnipropetrovsk region under this Project. Another six primary and secondary medical institutions are planned to be restored within the framework of ‘Promotion of Social Infrastructure Development. USIF.VIII’ Project.
