Phone us A housing facility for IDPs was opened in the city of Severodonetsk
On 29.07.2021 at 11.00 the solemn ceremony of opening the housing facility for internally displaced persons was held at the facility, located at the address:
18a, Kosmonavtiv Avenue, town of Severodonetsk (Luhansk region).
The ceremony was attended by:
- Head of Military Civil Administration of Luhansk Oblast Serhiy Hayday;
- Head of Military Civil Town Administration of Severodonetsk Oleksandr Striuk;
- Deputy Executive Director of the Ukrainian Social Investment Fund Ksenia Pidnebesna;
- internally displaced persons receiving housing;
- representatives of local self-government, local public organization and other interested locals.
The keys of the brand-new apartments were handed over to 19 IDP families, selected by the housing commission, set up by town authorities.
Housing facility for internally displaced persons (IDPs) was renovated under ‘Promotion of Social Infrastructure Development. USIF VI’ Project, funded by the German Government through KfW and implemented by Ukrainian Social Investment Fund.
The ground floor of a 5-storey dormitory with total area of 885.2 square was overhauled and 19 one-room apartments were arranged (1 apartment is intended for low mobility persons).
To arrange the apartments, re-designing of premises and fit-out works in the created apartments were performed. Wooden windows were replaced by energy-efficient metal-plastic ones. Doors were replaced, the floor was overhauled, engineering networks (heating, ventilation, water supply, sewerage and electricity supply) were completely renovated.
The kitchens are equipped with built-in kitchen furniture and equipment (worktops, cabinets, electric stoves, hoods).
The bathrooms are equipped with toilets bowls, shower cabins and bathrooms, sinks, boilers, electric towel rails.
The bathroom for low mobility persons is equipped with handrails.
The total cost of construction works is UAH 12.8 million.
Term of works execution was: 23.06.2020 - 01.07.2021.
Community contribution: financing of the design and cost estimate documentation development, arrangement of the entrance group of the facility and hall as well as restoration of the facade of the ground floor of the building.
