A large-scale training program for medical and healthcare professionals has been successfully completed
The implementation of a large-scale training program for partner medical institutions and communities of the ‘Promotion of Social Infrastructure Development – Improvement of rural basic health. USIF VII’ Project was successfully completed in October 2023.
Within the framework of the program, three training courses were organized and conducted between March and October for three target groups: heads of primary healthcare facilities; deputy mayors, village heads, heads of community health units; family doctors and registrars. Each course consisted of two four-day offline trainings and a four-day online training. The total duration of each course was 72 hours (216 hours in total). In addition, the participants were provided with a total of 80 hours of mentoring support. The trainings were interactive and practice-oriented, allowing participants to develop their organizational, communication and management skills.
The trainings were attended by representatives of 22 institutions from 20 communities of Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions. 81 was the total number of the training program participants.
The program was implemented by a team of specialists engaged by ‘Statinformconsulting’ LLC, which was selected on a competitive basis. The program was led by Zoryana Skaletska, Doctor of Legal Sciences, docent of the School of Public Health of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and former Minister of Health of Ukraine. Other highly qualified experts: Tetyana Yurochko, PhD in Public Administration, docent, head of the School of Public Health of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, Oleksiy Geliukh, practicing psychologist, psychotherapist, trainer of specialists and other lecturers were also involved in .
The program was funded by USIF at the expense of the grant funds of the German Government, provided within the framework of ‘Promotion of Social Infrastructure Development – Improvement of rural basic health. USIF VII’ Project and became a logical supplementation to capital modernization of institutions and provision them with modern medical equipment.
