Promotion of IDPs and local residents employment" program is successfully implemented
At the end of August 2021, the implementation of the program "Promotion of IDPs and local residents employment", which lasted almost a year within the project "Promotion of social infrastructure development. USIF VI" was completed.
The goal of the program was to promote the employment of IDPs and representatives of local communities by organizing and conducting training, counseling and informational/educational activities.
The program was implemented by the public organization "Professional Development of Kharkiv "Foundation".
The participants of the program were residents of Kryvyi Rih, Pershotravensk, Chuguiv, Izyum, Severodonetsk, Kreminna, Novoaydar, Melitopol, Huliaipole, Mariupol and Komysh-Zoryanskaya local communities. More than 450 persons, including more than 140 IDPs, participated in the program.
Within the framework of the program implementation, a number of measures were implemented and the following results were obtained:
- training was conducted in communities for specialists of employment centers and departments dealing with youth issues. 31 persons were trained in modern methods and tools of career guidance;
- 20 offline and online trainings for almost 400 unemployed and young people were conducted by trained specialists. Using the acquired knowledge and skills, those professionals continue to promote more effectively the employment of IDPs and local residents as well as the career guidance for young people;
- vocational courses for 114 people (including 55 IDPs) were financed to master modern professions in demand in the labor market, including SMM-manager, software QA engineer, web-designer, copywriter, HR-manager, accountant, household appliances repairman and others.
After completing the courses, most of them managed to develop quality portfolios, confidently enter the labor market, become true professionals in their field and get a competitive salary.
Thus, as of August 2021, 74 persons, from among those involved in vocational training courses, were employed.
