Phone us The Unit of Social Services for Children and Youth of the Social Services Delivery Center in Borshchivska Community as well as new premises of the Social Services Delivery Center in Skala-Podilska Community of Ternopil region were solemnly opened
On June 8, 2023 the Unit of Social Services for Children and Youth of the Social Services Delivery Center in Borshchivska Community of Ternopil region, established within the framework of the World Bank Project "The Community-Based Social Service Delivery", being financed from the grant funds provided to Ukraine by the Government of Japan through Japan Social Development Fund, as well as new premises of the Social Services Delivery Center (SSDC) in Skala-Podilskа Community of Ternopil region renovated under this Project, were solemnly opened.
The total cost of each micro-project equals to 140,000 US dollars.
As part of the implemented micro-project of Borshchivska Community, the overhaul of part of the premises of the kindergarten was carried out with for the purpose of creating a Unit of Social Services for Children and Youth of Borshchiv town Council SSDC. In the course of the overhaul, the premises were repaired, heating, water supply, drainage and electricity systems, window and door units were replaced with energy-saving ones, the entrance to the premises was arranged, the path was paved with cobblestones and the ramp was installed.
Rehabilitation equipment, including Orbitrek Fitex RE 500, treadmill Fitex Base TI-32, rehabilitation device Kotyk Invento, bars for restoring walking skills with obstacles T/U, Yevminov`s profilactic, rehabilitation device Zebra Invento, verticalizer table with electric drive SP-1 /E, Swedish wall specialized for people in wheelchairs, rehabilitation device MOTOmedgracicle 12 for legs and hands, rehabilitation table for therapy wide with electric height adjustment SR-3E-B, mobile lift GL5, children's educational toys, office furniture, computer office equipment, and speech treatment equipment, was purchased for the institution.
The purchased equipment enables provision of complex social services for children and young people with disabilities, and children who are in difficult life circumstances and need social support.
Under the micro-project of Skala-Podilska Community, the working cabinets were arranged on the first floor of SSDC’s premises. The premises were equipped with office and computer devices (computers, multifunctional devices, laminator, and uninterruptible power supplies) and provided with modern furniture.
А cabinet for psychologist was arranged and equipped to provide high-quality psychosocial support, conduct training and remedial classes. Children's furniture, educational games and the sensory equipment (developing cards Development of social and emotional skills from Feelmo, Montessori game set 1 117 Hega with 73 parts, sensory bag set large 259 Hega, Froebel's large didactic set HEGA 11, cards PECS-1, children's light tablet-sandbox Noofik, filling Inclusion absolute HEGA, etc.) were procured and supplied.
In addition to that, a cabinet of social adaptation, where services for children in difficult life circumstances, children whose parents cannot pass on essential life skills, children with disabilities, orphans and children deprived of parental care will be provided, was established and equipped. Children will learn food preparation, home gardening basics and gain first aid, laundry, sewing, money management, home repair and other necessary life skills.
Two elevators were installed to ensure barrier-free access of people with limited physical abilities to the premises of the third floor of the SSDC.
It is expected that opened today social facilities will become places where people can receive quality and timely help and support.
