The Social Rehabilitation Unit of the Social Services Delivery Center in Zborivska Community of Ternopil region has been solemnly opened
On June 7, 2023 the Social Rehabilitation Unit of the Social Services Delivery Center in Zborivska Community of Ternopil region, established within the framework of the World Bank Project "The Community-Based Social Service Delivery", being financed from the grant funds provided to Ukraine by the Government of Japan through Japan Social Development Fund, was solemnly opening.
The total cost of the micro-project implementation in Zborivska territorial community equals to 140,000 US dollars.
Within these funds the overhaul of the premises of the Social Rehabilitation Unit was carried out and modern furniture, office equipment, equipment for physical rehabilitation (power station, orbitrek, treadmill, motomed, rehabilitation bars and Yevminov board), as well as didactic materials and developmental games for children were provided for the Unit.
The cabinets of a physical rehabilitation, a speech therapist, a psychologist, a resource room, and an office for acquiring self-care skills were created. Social rehabilitation services will be provided to children and persons with disabilities, as well as to persons and families in difficult life circumstances, internally displaced persons, veterans and their family members, and the elderly people.
Under implementation of this micro-project, the Unit of inpatient long-term care of the Social Services Delivery Center in Zborivska Сommunity was modernized as well. For the permanent residence of elderly people and persons with disabilities, 11 beds (4 of which are multi-functional); wardrobes; a dishwasher, an electric stove with an oven, a refrigerator, modern stationary kitchen furniture, tables and chairs for a dining room for 30 persons, a rack for dishes to modernize the kitchen were purchased.
In addition to that, 4 electric scooters and 24 bicycles were purchased under the implementation of the Project to improve the quality and availability of social services and improve the working conditions of the Center's employees.
It is expected that implemented measures will significantly increase the support to vulnerable groups of the population in Zborivska Сommunity.
