Three primary health care institutions resume operation after modernization
At the end of October, Magdalynivka Primary Health Care Center and two outpatient clinics in Vasylkivka and Verbuvativka were reopened after modernization.
The modernization of the institutions was carried out as part of the Promotion of Social Infrastructure Development. Improvement of rural basic health. USIF VII” Project“, funded by the German Government through the German Development Credit Institution (KfW) and implemented by the Ukrainian Social Investment Fund.
The renovation was performed in two stages: external works were executed in 2023, while internal ones were completed in 2024.
The following major construction works were performed in all institutions:
- facades were decorated and insulated;
- foundations were insulated and pavements were laid;
- windows and doors were replaced with energy-efficient ones;
- porches and ramps were arranged;
- engineering networks were replaced;
- internal works were carried out and plumbing was installed;
Apart from the above-mentioned works, a simple 215 m² shelter was arranged and the first floor was renovated in Vasylkivka outpatient clinic.
Roof replacement works were executed in Verbuvativka outpatient clinic in addition to the ones, mentioned above.
In order to improve the provision of medical services, laboratory and diagnostic equipment for a total amount of about UAH 1.7 million was purchased for three institutions.
Representatives of the institutions and community healthcare managers took part in improvement of professional skills training program, organized and financed under USIF VII Project.
All communities financed water and electricity supply during construction works, purchase of medical and office furniture as well as landscaping of the adjacent territory from their budgets.
