Pryvovchansk outpatient clinic resumes its work after modernization
On July 12, 2024, Pryvovchanske outpatient clinic of the Primary Health Care Center of Bohdanivka Village Council, Dnipropetrovsk region was officially re-opened after modernization with the use of grant funds, provided by the German Government.
Within the framework of the outpatient clinic, premises with a total area of 350 m² were renovated, exterior walls were decorated and insulated, including the above-ground and underground parts of the foundations, the blind area was laid, windows and doors were replaced, the attic floor was insulated, a metal tile roof was installed, a drainage system, porches and a ramp were installed, water supply and sewage networks, lighting and electrical equipment, ventilation systems were replaced, interior works were performed and plumbing was installed.
The total cost of construction works and related expenses amounted to about UAH 18.8 million.
In addition, in order to improve the provision of medical services, diagnostic and laboratory equipment for a total amount of about UAH 1 million, including a digital stethoscope, a patient monitor, an automatic hematology analyzer, a semi-automatic biochemistry analyzer, a 12-channel cardiograph, a coagulometer, a defibrillator, a TS-Spinplus-8 centrifuge, blood pressure monitors, pulse oximeters, various rapid tests and personal protective equipment was procured for the institution. The management and doctors of the ambulatory took part in a specially designed training program to improve their professional knowledge and skills.
The community financed provision of the contractor with uninterrupted electricity and water supply, purchase of medical and office furniture and landscaping of the surrounding area from its own budget.
The renovated outpatient clinic employs 3 doctors and 10 medical staff members who will now see patients in spacious rooms with modern equipment. The ambulatory serves more than 4,000 residents.
The outpatient clinic was modernized as part of ‘Promotion of Social Infrastructure Development - Improvement of Primary Healthcare in Rural Areas (USIF VII)’ Project, being funded by the German Government through the German Development Bank KfW and implemented by the Ukrainian Social Investment Fund.
