The final conference, aimed to summarize and evaluate the results of “The Community-Based Social Service Delivery” Project implementation was held in Kyiv on October 11, 2023,
In the framework of the conference, the outcomes of the Project's implementation were summarized, the results of the final evaluation survey of the Project were presented, and implications of implementation of 10 micro-projects on creation of infrastructure for the provision of social services in the communities of Odesa and Ternopil regions were demonstrated with the aim to disseminate the experience of creation and organization of new social services in community and improving the quality of relevant services. The conference was held in the mixed mode (offline/online).
The final conference was attended by Deputy Minister of Social Policy Ulyana Tokareva, employees of this Ministry, the National Service Social Service and its regional bodies in Odesa and Ternopil regions, Project Managers from the World Bank – Kateryna Petryna and Anna Baranova, USIF Acting Executive Director Oleh Ovchinnikov, Deputy Head of Ternopil Regional Military Administration Victor Ustenko, Project Coordinator from the USIF Olha Krentovska, heads of pilot communities, coordinators of the Project implementation in communities, heads of social protection departments of the Odesa and Ternopil regional military state administrations, heads of the social services provision entities in territorial communities of Odesa and Ternopil regions, scientists and the Project team. 200 persons participated in the event in total.
The conference participants discussed the following topical matters:
strategies for development of social services system at a community level;
state and international support for the process of creation of the new system of social services in Ukraine;
exchange of experience regarding participation of communities in international technical assistance projects;
dissemination of experience in implementation of infrastructural micro-projects, acquired in the course of “The Community-Based Social Service Delivery” Project implementation, and practices of social services provision;
prospects for creating a market of social services.
