Modernized Pidhorodne outpatient clinic resumes its operation
On December 5, 2023, outpatient clinic of Pidhorodne town primary health care center (Dnipropetrovsk region) was officially re-opened after its modernization with the use of the German Government grant funds.
The event was attended by Acting Mayor Vitaliy MORGUN, Executive Director of the Ukrainian Social Investment Fund Andriy LAKTIONOV, representatives of local authorities, management and staff of the outpatient clinic and primary healthcare center.
The renovation of Pidhorodne outpatient clinic included arrangement of a metal tile roof, insulation of the attic floor, finishing and insulation of the building's facade, insulation of the above-ground part of the basement, porch arrangement, replacement of windows and doors, replacement of water supply, sewage, lighting and electrical equipment, installation of ventilation system and plumbing as well as performance of the required interior works.
The total cost of construction works and related expenses amounted to UAH 16.5 million.
In addition, an automatic hematology analyzer, nebulizers, a 12-channel cardiograph, tonometers, pulse oximeters, various rapid tests and personal protective equipment for a total of about UAH 340 thousand were purchased to improve the provision of medical services in the institution.
The management and staff of the primary healthcare center and the outpatient clinic took part in the training program that was beneficial for development of their organizational, communication and management skills.
The renovated outpatient clinic employs 7 doctors and 22 medical staff members, who will now see patients in spacious rooms with modern equipment. The outpatient clinic serves more than 11,000 residents.
The outpatient clinic was modernized as part of the ‘Promotion of Social Infrastructure Development. Improvement of rural basic health. USIF VII’ Project, which is financed by the German Government through KfW Development Bank and implemented by the Ukrainian Social Investment Fund.
14 outpatient clinics in the Dnipropetrovsk region are participating in this Project in total. Works at 9 of them have already been fully completed. The second stage of works will be carried out at 5 facilities.
