New Mariupol residents celebrate the housewarming together with the City Day
On September 25, in Mariupol, 11 internally displaced families received certificates and keys to apartments in buildings located at the following addresses: 137 Nikopolsky Avenue and Ryzka str., 27.
The keys to the apartments were handed over as a part of the celebration of Mariupol City Day.
Teachers, social specialists, doctors, military, retired persons and persons with disabilities were among the new settlers.
In the building on Nikopolsky Avenue, 137, part of the first floor of a residential building was re-planned and 7 separate apartments, 5 - two-room and 2 - three-room, were arranged.
The total cost of construction works is UAH 5.2 million.
24 persons can be accommodated in the said apartments.
Re-planning and thermal modernization of a one-level building on Ryzka street, 27 were performed and 4 separate 2-room apartments were arranged.
The total cost of construction works is about UAH 4.75 million.
It is expected that 12 persons in total will be accommodated there.
Finishing works in the arranged apartments were performed on both objects. Wooden windows were replaced by energy-efficient metal-plastic ones. Door blocks were replaced, the floor was overhauled, heating, ventilation, water supply, sewerage and electricity networks were upgraded.
The kitchens in the new apartments are equipped with furniture, including work surfaces, electric stoves, hoods.
The bathrooms have toilet bowls, bathtubs, sinks, boilers and towel dryers.
Arrangement of housing for IDPs is financed from the grant funds of the German Government provided through German State Development Bank KfW under ‘Promotion of Social Infrastructure Development. USIF VI’ Project, being implemented by the Ukrainian Social Investment Fund.
