Outpatient clinic No. 5 in Kamianske reopens after modernization
The reopening ceremony of outpatient clinic in Kamianske (Dnipropetrovsk region), modernized with grant funds of the German Government, was held on May 19, 2023 and attended by Mayor Andrii Bilousov, Chief Community Development Consultant of USIF First Regional Office Kateryna Klimenko, representatives of local authorities, local NGOs and interested local residents.
In order to renovate outpatient clinic No. 5 of the Kamianske City Council Primary Health Care Center, the premises with a total area of 721.2 m² were refurbished. The grant funds were used to replace windows and doors, water supply and sewage networks, heating systems, lighting and electrical equipment, ventilation system, and perform interior fit out and plumbing works.
The total cost of construction works and related expenses amounted to UAH 13.0 million.
In addition, a patient monitor, a 12-channel cardiograph, blood pressure monitors, glucose meters, pulse oximeters, infrared thermometers, various rapid tests and personal protective equipment were purchased to improve provision of medical services in the institution.
Purchase of medical and office furniture as well as replacement of the pipeline of the internal system of centralized scorching were financed from the city budget.
The renovated outpatient clinic employs 9 doctors and 11 nurses, who will now see patients in spacious offices with modern equipment. The outpatient clinic serves almost 12,000 residents.
The outpatient clinic was modernized as part of ‘Promotion of Social Infrastructure Development. Improvement of rural basic health. USIF.VII’ Project, being funded by the German Government through the German Development Bank (KfW) and implemented by the Ukrainian Social Investment Fund.
14 primary healthcare facilities will be repaired in total in Dnipropetrovsk region as a part of this Project. Six more primary and secondary healthcare facilities are envisaged to be renovated within ‘Promotion of Social Infrastructure Development - USIF.VIII’ Project.
