Phone us SUPERVISORY BOARD APPROVED THE RESULTS OF USIF ACTIVITIES IN THE FIRST HALF OF THE YEAR 2019 AND GAVE A ‘GREEN LIGHT’ TO PRACTICAL IMPLEMENTATION OF ONE MORE PROJECT
On August 8, 2019, the third in this year meeting of USIF Supervisory Board was held in Kyiv.
The Supervisory Board considered and approved the results of implementation of USIF plan of activities and budget for two quarters of the year 2019. The most important achievement of USIF at that period was, undoubtedly, successful completion of both phases of the “Promotion of Social Infrastructure Development, USIF V” Project. This made it possible to create housing for more than 700 displaced persons through reconstruction of 17 residential facilities in Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv regions and Lviv and to provide comfortable staying and studying conditions for children in 20 schools, kindergartens and boarding institutions located there. Within the framework of this Project, 111 group premises were renovated in 44 kindergartens in Kyiv and 1 kindergarten in Lviv, resulted in creation of almost 2,700 additional places for Kyiv and Lviv children, including children of internally displaced persons.
The updated budget and plan of USIF activities for the second half of 2019 and the year as a whole, adjusted in connection with completion of USIF V Project, signing on May 20, 2019 of the Project and Financing Agreement for USIF VII Project and slow progress in the implementation of part 3 of “Social Safety Nets Modernization” Project, were approved at the meeting.
Amendments to provisions of USIF Operational Manual (OM), specifying measures of part 3 of “Social Safety Nets Modernization” Project implementation, were endorsed by USIF Supervisory Board at that meeting as well.
Approval by USIF Supervisory Board of the new Annex 4 to USIF OM in fact gave the “green light” to practical implementation of “Promotion of Social Infrastructure Development. USIF VII. Support to medical institutions in certain oblasts (Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine-controlled areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions) of the Eastern region of Ukraine” Project, envisaging energy-efficient renovation of at least 40 primary health care centers (ambulatory clinics of common practice and health points) and providing them with the necessary medical equipment.
