Another KfW’s monitoring mission confirmed the appropriate works quality at USIF construction sites
The third monitoring mission of the German Development Bank KfW, conducted from 22 until 26 October 2018 by KfW’s technical adviser Mrs. Eva Susanne Legde and projects coordinator of KfW office Kyiv Mr. Vitaliy Shmeriga with participation of Mr. Andriy Laktionov, USIF Executive Director, and other employees/consultants of the Fund's central and regional offices, was completed by signing of the Minutes of Understanding (MOU).
In the said MOU it is noted that activities under USIF V. Project are carried out in full compliance with the reached agreements and in accordance with the concluded contracts. Construction works quality is defined as acceptable.
At the same time, the document states a need to improve a quality of design estimate documentation, which is being developed by the relevant bodies of local self-governments under conditions USIF V. Project, to raise beneficiaries’ awareness of energy efficiency measures and to acquire by them necessary practical skills for effective utilization of the installed energy saving equipment.
It is also noted that for successful implementation of the projects, realized by USIF, maximum involvement and assistance of local authorities and local self-government bodies are required.
Microprojects implementation under USIF V. Project will be continued with due consideration of aforementioned donor’s comments and observations.
17 social infrastructure objects (completed and being under renovation), located in Kyiv, Lviv, Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions, were visited and inspected during the third KfW’s monitoring mission.
