The solemn opening of the housing facility for internally displaced persons, attended by:

Serhii HAIDAI - Head of Luhansk Regional State Administration - Head of the Regional Military-Civil Administration (tbc);
Ihor SHOPIN - Head of Novoaidar urban type village council;
Andriy LAKTIONOV - USIF Executive Director;
Artur BRODZINSKYI - Director of USIF Eastern regional office
was held in urban type village of Novoaidar (Luhansk region) on 13.12.2021.
11 IDP families (21 persons) were provided with keys and housing certificates at the ceremony.
Restoration of the residential facility for IDPs was financed from the grant funds of the German Government provided through KfW under ‘Promotion of Social Infrastructure Development. USIF VI’ Project, being implemented by USIF.
In the course of its restoration, the two-storey building of the former kindergarten (not operational due to its emergency state), was replanned and reconstructed. The total area of the building, where 12 separate apartments are arranged: 4 two-room apartments and 8 one-room apartments, of which 1 apartment is for low mobility persons, is 557.5 m2.
Re-planning of premises and fit-out finishing works in the created apartments were performed. The facade was insulated, the roof with metal tiles and insulation was installed. Wooden windows were replaced by energy-efficient metal-plastic ones. Door blocks were replaced, the floor was overhauled, engineering networks (heating, ventilation, water supply, sewerage and electricity) were modernized. Landscaping of the adjacent territory is made. An energy certificate for a building of class "C" was obtained.
Recuperators are installed in the rooms. Kitchens are equipped with furniture and equipment - work surfaces, cabinets, gas stoves, hoods, gas water heaters.
The bathrooms are equipped with toilet bowls, showers, sinks, towel rails. The bathroom for low mobility persons is equipped with handrails.
Approximate number of places for settlement - up to 36 (depending on the composition of families).
The total construction cost is UAH 14.5 million.
The period of works execution: 30.10.2020 - 03.12.2022.
Community contribution: financing of the design and cost estimate documentation development; works on the supply and connection to external networks of gas supply, drainage, electricity; landscaping of the adjacent territory (repair of the access road, arrangement of the garbage collection plot).
