On 29 July 2019 Senior Project Manager from KfW Frankfurt headquarters Larissa Schönfeld and Project Coordinator from KfW Bureau in Kyiv Vitali Shmeriga visited objects, located in Melitopol (Zaporizhzhia region) and renovated under ‘Promotion of Social Infrastructure Development. USIF V’ Project in order to provide internally displaced persons with housing.
Together with the Deputy Executive Director - Director of USIF Microprojects Department, Kseniya Pidnebesna, KfW representatives inspected the objects’ viability and quality of services being provided there.
They also visited residential facilities to be reconstructed under the new USIF VI project. Within the framework of USIF V Project, necessary housing conditions for about 80 internally displaced persons have been created in the city's social dormitories. It is expected that in the result of renovation of buildings on 6, Brive-La-Gaillard str. and 16, Belyaeva str. under USIF VI Project, another 80 internally displaced persons will be settled in 28 apartments.
The Ukrainian Social Investment Fund is the Implementing Agency of both aforementioned projects, financed by German Government through KfW.
