Observation Councils

Regional and City Observation Councils are established to facilitate microprojects (subprojects) implementation in local communities. Observation Councils (OC) are comprised of representatives of USIF, local governments, authorities, communities, NGOs, scientific and training staff.
Main objectives of OCs activities are  to ensure transparent and effective implementation of microprojects (subprojects) in accordance with USIF procedures; to comprehensively  facilitate their implementation; to monitor the project implementation process and evaluation of its results; to disseminate of the gained experience and effective models of provision of social services to local communities; establishment of cooperation between internally displaced persons, communities, initiative groups, non-governmental organizations, local authorities and self-government bodies within the framework of USIF microprojects (subprojects) implementation.
To facilitate implementation of "Promotion of social infrastructure development. USIF.V" Project, Observation Councils were set up in Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions, as well as in the cities of Lviv and Kyiv.
Creation of such bodies is envisaged in the framework of implementation of "Promotion of social infrastructure development. USIF.VI" Project, covering areas of Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions as well as districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions under control of Ukraine.
